A story that does not stop
The Scottish businessman Henry Coe sets up Henry Coe Company in Genoa to import coal from England.
Alfonso Clerici Sr becomes Henry Coe’s partner: the Company changes its name into Henry Coe & Clerici.

Henry Coe leaves the Company, which in the meantime expanded its activities in shipping, trading and shipping companies representation.
After Alfonso Clerici Sr’s premature death in 1918, the Company goes through a period of transition until when in 1935 his son Jack joins the company giving new impulse to the activities.
Jack Clerici promotes the formation of the Association of Shipping Agents in Genoa – of which will remain President from 1947 to 1951. In 1949, together with other operators, he sets up National Federation of Shipping Agents (Federagenti). Henry Coe & Clerici is poised to become one of the leading Shipping Agency, with over 20 represented shipping lines.
Coeclerici becomes agent in Italy of United Fruit/Great White Fleet (Chiquita Banana Group) for all their logistics and shipping activities.
Alfonso Clerici Jr joins Coeclerici Group. For the following 5 years he makes experience in forwarding, shipping agency and fruit trading, while travelling in North Europe, the Usa and Central America. In 1977 he goes to New York to set up and manage a Coeclerici forwarding branch. He returns to Italy in 1982, where he assumes various positions within the Group, such as President and CEO of Coeclerici Spedizioni, sub-holding of the Group which owns all shipping agency, port, trading (bananas) and forwarding activities.
Sosbam (late re-named Terminal Frutta Salerno) is founded and starts operating as port reefer terminal.
Terminal Frutta Trieste is founded and starts to operate as a port reefer terminal.
Terminal Frutta Genova, the first private port terminal in Genoa and one of the first in Italy is founded - specialized in the management of perishables.
Following to Coeclerici's decision to focus its activities on shipping and trade of raw materials only, Alfonso Clerici leaves the Group, taking over Coeclerici Spedizioni, which will change its name in Clerici Spa Logistics Group.
Nola Reefer Terminal (Interporto Campano/Caserta) is founded and starts to operate as inland reefer terminal.
Clerici Spa Logistics Group sells all its port and inland terminals and focuses in the development of logistics, shipping agency and land transport management, strengthening its specialization in the field of perishable goods.

Today the company aims to expand the range of services offered, expanding the commercial network nationally and internationally, strengthening market presence with new dedicated investments and partners, to improve its position in the logistics field of perishable products.
